Spirit Rock

CFE SPIRIT ROCK POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

1. Only one family, organization, or group may rent and paint the rock per day. You may reserve the rock for several days in succession.

2. Daily cost for the rock reservation is a nonrefundable fee of $25 per day. Payment must be made with cash or check at the time of reservation for the reservation to be confirmed, partial payments will not be accepted.

3. Payment must be made in person with Dr. Robertson at the Cub Camp desk.

4. Payments must be made in cash or check (made out to CFE with your phone number on the check in the memo line)

5. No credit card or electronic payment options are available.

6. Reserve the date you want by coming to the Cub Camp desk between the hours of 2:30-5:00 pm daily. Dr. Robertson will receive the payment, provide a receipt, and confirm your reservation.

7. Painting the rock is your responsibility. You may hire someone to do it, or you can do it yourself while following the detailed painting rules.

8. Painting Rules: a. Exterior paint is the only way to decorate the rock. No tape, stickers, vinyl, laminate, or any adhesive materials can be used on the spirit Rock for any reason. If you use these items or anything other than exterior paint, you will be charged $50.00 to have the rock pressure washed (above and beyond the rental fee payment of $25.00). b. The family or organization must supply paint, rollers, brushes, and an old sheet or tarp to protect the surrounding ground cover. All ground space must be left the way you found it; additional clean-up fees will be applied if necessary. c. Plan to use 2-3 cans of spray paint primer as the base coat. More will be used if the color you are covering is dark or bright. d. Place your tarp or old sheet around the ground surrounding the rock to protect the grass/ground cover before you begin painting.

9. In keeping with the Horry County Schools Code of Conduct, we will not allow any bullying, profanity, obscenity, or derogatory language. Additionally, no political or discriminatory remarks are allowed. CFE administration reserves the right to remove any messages that violate this rule.

10. SMILE, you are on camera! We have video surveillance to ensure no vandalism occurs.
